Anti-fraud sms regulation is aimed at preventing the scammers from abusing the system by making unlimited SMS requests to authorise into driver and customer apps.


Rule 1: 5 sms per account Id per day

or

5 sms per installation Id per day

or

5 sms per device Id per day


This means that a user can make a maximum of 5 SMS requests (attempts to get an OTP) from 1 device on 1 number per 24 hours.After the 5th attempt the number is blocked and the user is allowed to submit next sms code request in 24 hours only. Solution: a user has to wait 24 hours for the number to get whitelisted.


Rule 2: Logins by device: 3 numbers within 24 hours

A user can log in on one device with a maximum of 3 numbers within 24 hours. The device is blocked for 30 days when a user tries to log in with a forth number.

Solution: Contact our Community support to request whitelisting the number by device. In both cases the following error is generated:
